The New Stage of International Standardization of IT Education
Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of the current state of the processes of international standardization of the methodological foundations of the system for training professional personnel in the field of information technology (IT) known as "computing" in the academic environment. The article considers three interrelated standardization processes, namely, the standardization of digital skills / competencies, the creation of generally significant industry (professional) bodies of knowledge (BoKs), as well as the standardization of curricula in the areas of IT training. The analysis of international standardization processes that are directly related to the IT education system, which should be considered as the most important sector of educational activity, is carried out. This analysis showed the high rates of development of these processes on the principles of consistency, integrity, and integration.
