Centralized Management of Corporate Network Infrastructure
with Comprehensive D-Link Nuclias Connect
Abstract
The modern development of business, state-owned companies and organizations involves the consistent scaling of their network infrastructures, one of the factors for the stable operation of which is centralized monitoring and management.
Network infrastructure management ensures availability of network resources, minimizes downtime and ensures high performance of the corporate network.
The monitoring result is statistics that allows to determine the presence of network problems, configuration errors, the presence of attacks, the number of successful and unsuccessful authentication attempts, the amount of traffic transmitted on the network, etc. This data can be used to solve problems, for example, by installing more modern equipment in the network, changing the configuration of devices and network topology.
Using these statistics, centralized management platforms also reduce network administration overhead by performing group operations on active network equipment and reducing network downtime by detecting and automatically responding to negative events in a timely manner.
Modern corporate telecommunications infrastructures are characterized by the presence of wired and an increase in the share of wireless segments. In this regard, the availability of centralized monitoring and control tools that support the switching and wireless equipment of the corporate network in a complex is relevant.
Such a platform is Nuclias Connect – a comprehensive solution for centralized management of a combined network infrastructure based on D-Link controllers, switches and wireless access points.
The solution was developed taking into account the modern needs of government agencies, medical, cultural, educational and business institutions – from small branches and branches to large organizations with distributed infrastructure. It greatly simplifies the administration of complex networks, speeds the commissioning of new equipment and reduces the overhead of deploying and maintaining an enterprise network.
Effective use of corporate network monitoring and management systems requires specialists with knowledge of network technologies and the ability to configure monitoring systems, manage equipment, analyze collected data, and promptly troubleshoot any issues that arise. D-Link's Russian office has been developing its educational resources for over 20 years in close collaboration with higher education institutions and specialized secondary schools across Russia. Currently, 12 training courses on computer network technologies and embedded systems programming are available.
