Abstract

This article is devoted to the joint development of Internet of Things technologies and Telecommunications. On many grounds, it is telecommunications that will play a decisive role in the digital economy. The main technological discussions of the last mobile communication congress took place around two related topics - the Internet of Things (IoT) and 5G technology. The combined theme of 5G and IoT is very important from the point of view of the possibilities for planning the development of the digital economy in Russia. 5G technologies offer much more than just a faster download of information, the flows and volumes of which are constantly growing. Unlike other mobile technologies, the 5G will be an end-to-end system that provides reliable and stable communication between different technologies, provides a lower delay in data transfer, lower power consumption and maintains a high density of IoT devices.
