Simulation Research of Game-Theoretic Models on the Basis of Wolfram-Technologies
Abstract
Within this article questions of a simulation research of game-theoretic models on the basis of Wolfram-technologies in practice of decision-making in the different fields of economic activity and vocational training of future IT specialist are considered. Recommendations about use of Wolfram-technologies in the course of the research of game-theoretic models of the social and economic and administrative situations which are characterized by dynamics of intramodular interaction and preferences of players in the choice of optimum strategy are submitted. The ideas stated in article can be useful to design of professionally significant subject matters among which there are "Games Theory", "Mathematical Methods in Economy", "The Theory of Decision-Making", "Instrumental Methods in Economy". The article focuses on questions in the field of classical and evolutionary game theory - a relatively new direction of economic cybernetics. The matters are analyzed in the context of improvement of quality of the made decisions. It is noted that the methods and models of the classical game theory, the development of which was started about fifty years ago, currently find limited application in the practice of decision-making in various areas of economic activity. So far in game-theoretic modeling focus is shifted to the evolutionary games considering features of dynamics of information environment of decision-making and preferences of players at the choice of optimum strategy. The article notes the demand for simulation modeling methods for the study of neoclassical game situations, implemented in special software, Wolfram in particular. The principles of imitation modeling for the study of neoclassical game situations are highlighted: "Trend Study", "Imitation", "Static Perception and Immediate Benefit", "Dummy Playing", "Rational Training". In development of the innovation components of professional competence of the IT specialist at Plekhanov Russian University of Economics, we were faced with the need to strengthen the applied professional orientation of mathematical training. To this end, special attention was paid to the substantive and methodological aspects of using Wolfram technologies for game-theoretic modeling, without which IT specialists would not have a complete understanding of quantitative methods and mathematical modeling.
